OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE //
The main objective of this one day workshop intensive is to learn how to prepare the very thin gold foil and perform its application on silver jewelry. The most suitable pieces will be chosen together, learning the process to prepare them for the application of the foil.
Depending on the design of each single jewel, it will be evaluated whether to bite the piece to enhance the contrast between the metals.
COURSE PROGRAM//

Basics of the technique and process explanation.

Display of steps to prepare the very thin gold foil in the right thickness.

Creation of a gold foil and cutting methods.

Preparation of the silver pieces to be able to apply the gold foil.

Application of the gold foil on the prepared pieces, with volume, plates and with different textures.

This workshop is aimed at anyone with bases in goldsmiths, goldsmiths, artists, artisans, students and designers.

WHAT TO BRING
To run the workshop, students must bring:

Silver pieces that they intend to decorate with the Keum Boo technique. Depending on your style, we recommend several pieces from which to choose where to intervene.

Silver plates of different sizes and thicknesses.
