with Massimiliano Sartori
COURSE CONTENT //

The course is aimed at participants with basic notions of goldsmithing.
The master will teach us the basic techniques for
-
Channel Setting.
-
Bar Setting.
-
Pave Setting
-
Flush / Burnish Setting.
-
Bead Setting.
ideal for embellishing our creations with small stones.
In this way our work will become more practical, faster and independent.

Goals:
Learn from the basics: the preparation and use of gravers, burs, beading tools; the construction of the work grids, then on to learn the correct use of drills and gravers to create the seat for the stones to be setted.

The techniques learned will be easy to reproduce and it will not be necessary to use specific automatic hammers or dremels; you will also learn how to sharpen gravers, a very important practice for those who approach not only stone setting but also engraving.
Not only practice, but also important notions for the design of jewels, such as the minimum thicknesses to be respected, based on the stones that you choose to set, the spaces between one stone and another and also, very important, the basic knowledge of the hardness, or delicacy, of the stones.
